Mr. Guch Now Has Facebook!

It is with great pleasure that I am happy to announce that I now have Facebook! I know that many students are big fans of Facebook, and I figure that I will be better able to connect with the readership of this website by joining in on this Internet craze.

For those of you who are not “Internet savvy”, here is how to make friends with Mr. Guch:

· Search for “Ian Guch.” That’s me!

· Send me an invite and perhaps a personal message.

· And now, you’ll be my friend!*

With this amazing new technology, you can now find out everything you ever wanted to know about Mr. Guch, including who his friends are, what he likes to do with his spare time, where he goes when he’s not at school, and his innermost thoughts on the mysteries of life. Because I have received questions about all of these things, I imagine that this will be a popular feature.

Disclaimer: I was watching TV the other day and saw a police sting where they captured some creepy people on the Internet who were using Facebook to find and do unpleasant things to unsuspecting people. As a result, the following caveats now apply to making friends with me on Facebook:

• Until the police announce that all scary people have been permanently removed from the Internet, I will be unable to make friends with anybody. Even if you know me well, or even if you are my student, I will not make friends with you because the guy on TV told me that you can never tell who the weirdos are on the Internet. Please don’t take it personally.
• I am now encouraging everybody to give up Facebook because the TV show I saw said that it was really dangerous. Whatever you do, give up now before terrible consequences occur!
• Once again, for the safety of my family and friends, I cannot and will not make friends with you or anybody else under any circumstances. My friends are currently limited to people I live with (i.e. my family) and I will not make any exceptions.
